Configure and Enable Spellchecker

Spellchecker is supported in Microsoft Office and Hunspell.

To configure and enable Spellchecker:

  1. Click Spellchecker in the General Preferences group.
  2. Select Enable Spellchecking to enable Spellchecker.
      Note:

    Deselect the Enable Spellchecking to disable Spellchecker.

      Alert:

    Disabling Spellchecker clears all Spellchecker preferences. You must reconfigure your preferences when you re-enable Spellchecker.

  3. (Optional) Select Check for spelling errors as you type and configure for Microsoft Office or Hunspell. Either option requires software installation on your computer.
      Note:

    To install Hunspell, go to Help > Wordfast Pro Update, choose the required language JAR, and click Update. Select Hunspell for any of the following languages after you install it.
