Patrick Knight

Patrick Knight

Patrick Knight is an international speaker and trainer. He is also a trial attorney who is Board Certified in Civil Trial Litigation. He has tried over 170 cases to jury verdict, including many high exposure products liability, medical malpractice, and other negligence actions. He was the National Litigation Trial Counsel for a large insurance company in the United States for 15 years and now represents victims of catastrophic injury in a small boutique litigation firm. 

Patrick is a Certified International Training Fellow (ITF #102) and has taught more than 350 seminars in twenty-five different states and thirty other countries. He has authored numerous leadership articles and manuals and helped design leadership and professional skills development courses.

In 2012, Patrick had a book published called Blessed to Survive – The Thanksgiving Day Massacre, which details his triumph over tragedy after falling victim to one of the worst mass shootings in South Florida history. Over the last ten years, he has given talks all over the world to victim and survivor groups, police organizations, hospitals, churches, and other organizations in an effort to give hope to other survivors who have overcome immense tragedy.

Marian Dougan

Marian Dougan

Marian Dougan is a translator and editor specializing in financial, legal, corporate and EU texts. She lived in Italy for 24 years, working as a translator and as a policy analyst at the British Embassy in Rome. She has taught Translation Methodology and Master Classes on Translating for the Web as part of Glasgow University’s MSc in Translation Studies. More recently, Marian spent four years as an in-house translator and editor at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, working on banking supervision and monetary policy texts. A key skill is to render complex specialist texts in English that’s clear, concise and easy for international readers to understand.

Dominique Pivard

Dominique Pivard

Dominique Pivard has been doing business and technical translations since 1985. Based outside of Helsinki, Dominique is a Finnish into French translator. With more than 20 years of experience with Wordfast, he also acts as a trainer for fellow translators and organizations interested to learn how to use and make the most out of CAT tools.

Stefan Stefanov

Stefan Stefanov

Dr Stefan Stefanov is a member of the Wordfast hotline team and an occasional helper in our Facebook group. He is a university lecturer teaching various specialised translation courses and – you guessed it – CAT tools and more specifically Wordfast Pro, at Bulgaria’s leading linguistics university of St Cyril and St Methodius. He also does some web-related programming where regular expressions are also commonly used. In his free time, he likes to deejay and throw dance parties, while sipping a pint of nice craft ale.

Jamie Lucero

Jamie Lucero

Jamie Lucero has been a French to English translator and translation tools expert for more than 20 years. After receiving his M.A. in Translation from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in 2001 and working as an in-house translator and translation tools administrator, he served as a Program Manager of the Bellevue College Translation & Interpretation Professional Certificate Program outside Seattle and as a board member for the NOTIS chapter of the American Translators Association. Jamie currently focuses on translation tools consulting and training at his company, Morning Star Translations.

Reginaldo Francisco

Reginaldo Francisco

Reginaldo Francisco is an English and Italian to Portuguese translator. He works mainly with literature and texts in the field of quality management, compliance, people management and technology. He has a Bachelor’s degree in translation from the São Paulo State University (UNESP) and a Master’s in translation studies from the Federal University at Santa Catarina (UFSC), in Brazil. Reginaldo is also a Wordfast hotliner and trainer and has been providing on-site and on-line training for translators since 2009. He publishes articles and gives courses and lectures on translation, mainly about computer-aided-translation (CAT) tools.

John Di Rico

John Di Rico

John Di Rico began translating in 2005 and specializes in legal, financial, and IT translation from French to English. He currently works as the Sales and Marketing Manager for Wordfast and runs a small translation business—ApexTra—in France. He is a court-appointed translator in France, a member of the French translation professional association (Société Française des Traducteurs), and has an M.A. in Translation and Localization Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS). John also teaches project management for the online Master in Technical Communication and Localization (TCLoc) and Master in Multilingual Web Communication (CAWEB) programs at the University of Strasbourg.

Dani Lopez

Dani Lopez

Late in his degree, Dani started to work as a web application developer which became his profession after he got his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences. For more than 15 years, he has been working in different areas from Catalonia Government apps to one of the most used ticketing companies. His first contact with the translation industry was nearly 10 years ago when he started working on Wordfast Anywhere. From that day, he has been helping Remi André to manage and improve Wordfast Anywhere.
