Will Wordfast Pro run on upcoming Mac OSes?

We understand everybody's concern. We will try to clarify a few things.
MacOS27, due in September 2026, will not install on Intel-powered hardware. There is nothing we can do here, it's an Apple decision. So if your WF Pro currently runs on an Intel Mac, which probably means you run an older OS, keep going. Do not upgrade to Sonoma, or any new macOS. Turn off automatic updates.
Now for the newer M processors (aka "Apple silicon").
Rosetta is a translation layer (software) that lets Macs with M chips understand and execute code written in the Intel era. It was introduced for the M1 chip. To the best of my knowledge, Rosetta is not going away with MacOS27, and there are clues that it may not even go away with Mac OS28. Having said that, Apple issues warnings that Rosetta is being gradually phased out, maybe to push users into new hardware.

In conclusion:
Our developers cannot know whether a future Apple OS will power Wordfast Pro until they get the final/public release (betas may have Rosetta temporary disabled for reasons explained above).
Next, nothing forces you to immediately upgrade on day 1 of the OS release - but we understand you will eventually want to do so. So our advice is:
- If you have a secondary machine (professional translators do not bet their life on a single computer), upgrade that other machine, and see what happens. You can activate WF Pro on more than one machine. No other machine? Find a friend who's willing to try WF Pro on their upgraded machine, it takes a few minutes.
- If you don't have access to a secondary machine, simply wait for our green light. It won't be long after the real, public macOS27 release.
- If/when you upgrade, have a way back to the original OS. There are various ways to do that: use the new OS rollback option, if it exists; or use Time Machine; or clone your hard disk, etc.
Meanwhile, we are working hard to find a way to redesign WF Pro for both the new Apple processors and OS.
