Jean-Philippe Valentin

Jean-Philippe Valentin has a degree in economics and management and is an expert in procurement, having worked in both the private and public sectors. He is currently a senior buyer for the University Hospital of Martinique (CHUM) and is in charge of auditing their procurement. A renowned international trainer for Junior Chamber International (JCI), he has trained young active citizens on four continents and is the author of a training on leadership and corporate social responsibility.

Ruth has been getting herself motivated as a freelance translator in the luxury industry for the last ten years. She specialises in wine and cosmetics and works from French into English, but is happiest on stage with a microphone in her hand and a live band at her back.

Dominique Pivard has been doing business and technical translations since 1985. He earned his Master degree from French business school ESSEC and studied Finnish at INALCO. Known as CATguruEN on YouTube, the CAT tool expert offers both online and on-site Wordfast trainings to freelancers and companies.

Yves Champollion

Yves Champollion

Yves Champollion is CEO of Wordfast. He developed Wordfast and PlusTools suite of CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools. He used to work as a freelance translator, and a project manager and consultant for large translation projects in world-class translation agencies.

Jamie Lucero

Jamie Lucero

Jamie Lucero has been a French to English translator and translation tools expert for nearly 20 years. After receiving his M.A. in Translation from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in 2001 and working as an in-house translator and translation tools administrator, he served as a Program Manager of the Bellevue College Translation & Interpretation Professional Certificate Program outside Seattle and as a board member for the NOTIS chapter of the American Translators Association. Jamie currently focuses on translation tools consulting and training at his company, Morning Star Translations.

Reginaldo Francisco

Reginaldo Francisco

Reginaldo Francisco is an English- and Italian-to-Portuguese translator. He works mainly with literature and texts in the field of quality management, compliance, people management and technology. He has a bachelor’s degree in translation from the São Paulo State University (UNESP) and a master’s in translation studies from the Federal University at Santa Catarina (UFSC), in Brazil. Reginaldo is also a Wordfast hotliner and trainer and has been providing on-site and on-line training for translators since 2009. He publishes articles and gives courses and lectures on translation, mainly about computer-aided-translation (CAT) tools.

John Di Rico

John Di Rico

John Di Rico began translating in 2005 and specializes in financial and marketing translation from French to English. He currently works as the Sales and Marketing Manager for Wordfast and runs a small translation business—ApexTra—in France. He is a member of the French translation professional association (Société Française des Traducteurs) and has an MA in Translation and Localization Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS). John also teaches project management for the online Master in Technical Communication and Localization (TCLoc) program at the University of Strasbourg.

Dani Lopez

Late in his degree, Dani started to work as a web application developer which became his profession after he got his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences. For more than 15 years, he has been working in different areas from Catalonia Government apps to one of the most used ticketing companies. His first contact with the translation industry was 5 years ago when he started working on Wordfast Anywhere. From that day, he has been helping Remi André to manage and improve Wordfast Anywhere.

John Daniel started working as a Quality Assurance Engineer for Wordfast products almost 6 years ago and has been working as Product Manager for Wordfast for the last 3 years. He is involved in helping Wordfast users in bringing their queries and issues to the development team as well as assisting Rafael Guevara with the product life cycle.

Aleksandar Srbu

Aleksandar Srbu

Aleks has been a driving force behind the Wordfast Pro software project management during the past year. After studying Spanish and English language and literature at the University of Kragujevac, Aleks spent a couple of years working in transportation management. Leveraging this linguistic and management experience, he gradually took over the entire Wordfast Pro development project from his predecessor, reorganized some of the structures, and strives to ensure that updates are compact and released on time.

Simão Martins

Simão Martins

Simão Martins has been in the translation industry for more than 10 years. He obtained a degree in translation in 2015 and has a membership position with the Chartered Institute of Linguists. Specializing in content revision, he currently works into Portuguese as a quality manager for the world’s largest translation agency. In this position he often provides training and assistance to leverage Wordfast features that improve revision best practices and general document quality control.
